Company History
In 1979, Emplas Group founder, Kevin Johnson, established double-glazing installation business, T&K, from a garage and first floor bedroom. Following supplier issues, Kevin took the decision to fabricate windows and doors and Emplas was born, evolving to become the UK’s leading fabricators.
Emplas Commercial North was founded in 2023 with a sole focus on providing a premium regional supply and install service for commercial developers in the north of England specifically.
Backed by the Emplas Group’s enduring record in the supply of replacement windows and doors into the new build and commercial space, our future-proofed offer meets all current UK Building Regulations and is also prepped for the new Future Homes Standard.

Meet the team
Having touched every facet of the window and door industry, from manufacturing to installation and contracts management, Jon brings extensive contacts and regional expertise in the north of England. He joined Emplas from Newlook Windows where he was latterly Commercial Director.
With an order processing background in trade supply, Thomas is a safe pair of hands to effectively communicate the call off. Liaising with both the site and installation teams, Tom works with Emplas HQ to ensure products are ordered and delivered to site on time to meet the needs of the build programme.
Vicky’s duties include liaising with sites to book in installation teams, ordering products, organising deliveries and obtaining feedback on completion. Vikki also ensures quality/safety forms are published and distributed at each stage from pre installation through to CML, giving sites full visibility of the process from start to finish.
