Company History
From humble beginnings, our family-run business has evolved to become a trusted name in the commercial sector, offering unmatched quality, service, and value.
Camel Glass was established in 1983 as a partnership between Brian Oakes and his son Steven, initially trading out of Brian’s garage in Rock, Cornwall.
Moving to an industrial unit in Trenant, we soon expanded into PVC-U replacement windows and doors. Demand for timber products initiated the arrival of Brian’s son-in-law, Geoff Jones, whose talents as a joiner were put to good use.
Progressing to fabricate our own windows and doors enhanced our product knowledge and enabled us to remain very competitive – a trait which continues to this day.
In February 1998, we moved to our custom-built 8,500ft2 facility in Wadebridge. We further expanded by purchasing Pilkington’s branches in Redruth and Barnstaple, and later TWB in Holsworthy, to gain regional cover throughout the South West.
Under the current leadership of Geoff’s son, Mat Jones, we remain a ‘family firm’ at heart, dedicated to craftsmanship and customer care. Forging close links with our suppliers over the years, we maintain our reputation for honest dealing, fair pricing, and quality goods and workmanship.

Meet the team
A valued member of the team for more than a decade, former estimator Kayleigh has vast experience and understanding of the commercial sector.
Starting out as a fitter and moving through the ranks to train as a surveyor, Chris offers an extensive working knowledge of new build windows and doors, from the ground up.
Joining Camel on the front desk almost two decades ago, Simon has worked his way up through the sales team, gaining a wealth of new build and commercial sector expertise on the way.
